Is it important to have a papsmear every year?

You may not need a papsmear every year, but it is important to see your provider every year for other care and screening. Is it normal to have irregular bleeding on birth control pills?

It can be. If you are taking pills as prescribed and are not missing pills, pregnancy is unlikely. Spotting can be a normal side effect. Skipping periods can also be normal. If you are concerned, check a pregnancy test and continue pills. If the irregular bleeding occurs the same time each month, you may need a pill change.
